Blog Tour: Smolder by Kate Benson Review

Smolder (Ignite #2) by Kate Benson

Two years after a misunderstanding pulls free-spirited Addison Greyson from tenacious Zeke Turner’s life, fate finds a way to give her back.

Not all reunions are simple, though.

Between a sordid arrangement she made to save her father, the secret she vowed to keep and her twisted new reality, Addie returns to Zeke a different girl.

When their attraction to each other proves too much to deny, they reunite in secret, rekindling their long lost love in the shadows. Their feelings ignite into something more and staying apart is no longer an option.

Fighting to stay together when it seems the whole world wants them apart won’t be easy.

They soon realize it never was.
Will giving into the desires that smolder beneath the surface be the one thing that saves them?

Or will they find out the hard way that some things are best kept secret?

Smolder is the second and final anticipated installment in The Ignite Series. It is full-length and multi-POV.

My rating:
*3.5 STARS*
*Minor spoilers*

After the first book ended the way it did I've been eagerly waiting for the next to see what would happen next. Things  definitely took a turn for the worse for Zeke and Addie.
In Ignite you see the start of their love and in Smolder you see them fighting to keep that love.

After Addie and Zeke spend two years apart they're eager to catch up on lost time, but things aren't so simple. Addie still has her deal with Chad to save her father so they have to keep their relationship a secret. Things aren't easy with Chad always keeping an eye on Addie, trying to keep up with school and working so she'll be able to pay him back, Zeke and Addie see eachother as much as they can, but it begins to take its toll. They just have to stick together until the deal is up and they can finally be together.

The further I got into the book the more I just wanted to see these two catch a break. Things aren't easy and Chad somehow got even worse in this one, actually realized suddenly okay so maybe he isn't just some normal guy, who's a bit of a jerk, there's more there and that was scary, made me scared for Addie and how it was all going to end. Especially when Chad starts suspecting Addie and Zeke you really see his bad side. You might think that hiding a relationship could be fun and exciting, but not in this situation, as them being caught will have consequences and not just for them. Just reading all that Addie and Zeke had to go through made me really sad. However it is nice to see two people togethe and sticking together no matter what and even with everything going on they still stick together.

Really this is a book about two people fighting to be together and catching their little moments as much as they can because they don't know when the next time they'll be able to see eachother for real without having to hide their feelings for eachother.

In this second book you can actually feel how both Zeke and Addie have changed, they've grown up since then, but the one thing that remains is their love for eacchother no matter what.

"I love you like crazy."
"I love you like a maniac, baby."

A sequel worth reading and make you glad that these two finally found their happy end. Fills you with the warm fuzzies.

Author:

I grew up in Texas and moved to Florida when I met the love of my life 13 years ago. I wrote my first poem when I was five and it was about my love affair with pickles. I still love pickles but I like to think my writing has grown since then. I absolutely adore anything to do with books whether it's writing them or devouring them in one sitting. I live on music, love, and sweet tea. I am known for my silly but blunt personality. I've been lucky enough to find the love of my life, marry him and now we're working on our happily ever after. He inspires me in everything I do, but especially in telling love stories. I'm an ordinary girl living an extraordinary love and I'm so happy I get to share it with the world through my writing.
